I've been inspired by "Knitting for Peace" by Betty Christiansen, subtitled "Make the Word a Better Place, One Stitch at a Time." Some possible projects: Chemo Caps, Prayer Shawls, Security Blankets. So, we're knitting (or crocheting, quilting) to give back. Projects will be forwarded to appropriate organizations that will distribute. Get together with like-minded people and laugh, share and hopefully make the world a little better.

We get together every other Sunday for sewing/knitting in Wayland at Traditions, and spread out in the dining area. We also do scrapbooking once a month on Fridays Most of the meetups are pretty small averaging about 2-4 people. It's a nice way to meet others and get the motivation to get something accomplished.

Calling all awesome, fun people in Hartford and the surrounding area who are into crafts of all kind - sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, book making, paper crafts, embroidery, needlepoint, etc. The idea is to meet a couple times a month, preferably at an adult beverage-serving establishment, and get our craft on! Maybe field trips to local museums or stores for stash-building, too.

We are a women's volunteer organization associated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs, supporting the New Milford, CT community and we LOVE to have fun doing it!
